In order to select farms, Unispice´s technical department uses strict guidelines to choose their location to meet all the norms that go hand in hand with the production program. Farms are geographically located in different areas; not only to be able to produce 52 weeks a year, but also to reduce climate risk. From planning, we use the latest on agricultural technology, starting with a geo-referenced system. We, at Unispice, have the whole country geo-referenced so we can use guidelines to choose possible production areas, taking into account: climate history, soil quality, water quality and availability, distance for logistical reasons, environmental conservation, and that it meets the requirements to certify the area.
